• Director of Resource Development & International Communications- Children’s Welfare Organization

    Job Description

    • To establish and manage the fundraising systems at the Amuta starting with building the strategic plan, writing proposals and reports, fundraising trips and more
    • Strengthening capabilities for developing resources, raising funds and examining the development of revenue-generating projects as part of the organization’s strategy
    • Project Development in cooperation with the Director of Program Development in order to expand the organization
    • The job requires organizational teamwork skills and the ability to communicate professionally and smoothly with all other administrative, field program and resource development staff both in Israel and abroad.
    • This position also must represent the organization in a wide variety of social associations, businesses, philanthropic organizations, government ministries, local authorities, municipal bodies and liaison with external service providers
    • Senior staff position supervised by the CEO

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing an annual work plan for raising resources in Israel and abroad in accordance with the guidelines of the international organization
    • Preparation of an annual budget forecast approved by the Director-General and mapping of the organization’s needs in the headquarters and villages
    • Management of the team
    • Monitoring developments in Israel and around the world on all issues related to fundraising and initiating programs and changes based on the results
    • Formulating ideas, accompanying the planning process, and supervising actual execution
    • Identifying donors
    • Initiating and producing fundraising events
    • Meetings with donors, companies and organizations and the creation of collaborations
    • Assistance in marketing and local resources for headquarters and field work
    • Creates opportunities for media exposure and public relations to promote the goals of the organization

    Requirements 

    • BA in Social Sciences or Law
    • Fundraising experience with private donors, foundations and institutional, municipal and government bodies
    • Affinity and familiarity with the field of welfare/treatment/ education
    • Familiarity with foundations in Israel and abroad
    • High managerial capabilities and the ability to lead professional processes
    • Professional level writing and editing for both marketing and fundraising
    • Creativity and event production capabilities
    • Ability to work in the team as well as independently
    • Ability to work with deadlines
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Full control of all Office software at an advanced level
    • English at the mother tongue level
