• Development Officer- Economic Empowerment Organization

    A long time economic empowerment organization is rapidly expanding and creating the first ever nonprofit bank/ credit union in Israel. For this they are seeking an energetic, innovative and experienced development professional to manage fundraising initiatives and donor relations. The position is responsible for handling individual, corporate, and foundation gifts as well as impact investments and PRIs. The position reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.

    Responsibilities
    • Identify and cultivate prospective donors and impact investors on a continual basis
    • Maintain ongoing communication and develop strong relationships with prospects and donors/investors
    • Documenting all donor cultivation activity through Salesforce
    • Oversee all grant activity including a grant writer, reports, and foundation relationships
    • Plan and execute fundraising events
    • Collaborate on donor facing marketing material
    • Manage donor relations for approximately 300 Named Loan Funds under $100,000
    • Flexible hours required
    • Travel as necessary for fundraising – approximately 3 times/year

    Qualifications:
    • 5 years experience fundraising
    • Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
    • Familiarity with Impact Investing
    • Detail oriented
    • Personable and outgoing, working well with staff, board, and donors
    • Experience with donor management software Salesforce a plus
    • Able to manage confidential information with integrity
    • Initiator, able to work independently and be an effective team player
    • Flexible hours required
    • Requires Hebrew fluency for fundraising in Israel from Israelis, also must be able to function professionally in English.
